Reykjavik Park & Zoo

News & events

29 April 2025

International day of the Icelandic horse is may 1st

Educational program

There are courses on offer for kindergartens and primary schools, either in the form of guided tours or hands on learning. We really encourage teachers to actively take part on class trips and be readily accessible to the zoo’s staff. We therefore ask teachers to prepare well for their visit, so that the field trip can be as productive as possible education-wise.

Explore the park

On the map you can see the layout of Park and zoo. In the Zoo section you will find Icelandic animals along some exotic ones from around the world. In the Park section you find all kind of fund rides. The bigger attractions are open all days during the summer and on weekends on autumn and spring as long as weather permits. Other attractions are open all year round. Cafeteria is open every day.
